Sometimes a new layer of plywood is necessary for the new roof.

Just in case it rains, the waterproof felt paper is installed across the entire roof immediately.

The felt is attached to the roof using heavy-duty staples.

The felt paper is installed from the bottom up so each piece overlaps the other. This ensures a 100% leak free roof.

The felt has guide lines on it to help keep the roof straight. If this is installed wrong, the result can be a slanted or uneven looking roof. Although it may be waterproof it may also turn out ugly.
